Sony's Project Morpheus
What do you all think about Sony's Playstation 4 attempt at Virtual Reality? Do you think it will be successful? Or will it be a bust like Nintendo's Virtual Boy?

Super Mario 3D World is Getting Rave Reviews!
Super Mario 3D World comes out this November 22nd for the Nintendo Wii U but it's already getting impressive review scores throughout many of the major gaming sites! Just check out this thread from +NeoGAF with all the outstanding scores and what they have to say about the game: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=719000
There was a moment where I was taking in the beautiful soundtrack, hovering over a tricky jump as cat Peach, and watching the glistening water below where the game really came together. It was then that I realized that Super Mario 3D World had achieved a level of platforming design that's close to perfection, and there was almost never a moment where I didn't have a smile on my face. This is the unequivocally the best Mario game since Galaxy 2, and it shows up anything the "New" series has ever done, and then some.
Good work, Nintendo.

The 90's Arcade Racer
Wow, this Kickstarter game from Nicalis, INC looks incredible! Definitely reminds me of the old school racing games from Sega like Daytona USA! This game is currently running for Wii U at 60fps so it's definitely one game I would keep my eye on!

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royal Screenshots
Sony's upcoming Super Smash Brow Brawl inspired (or copycat) brawler, Playstation All-Stars Battle Royal, is coming this Fall to Playstation 3 and Sony was kind enough to release 4 screenshots of the game in action. You can also catch a sneak preview of the game on Gametrailers.com. I'm not too excited about the game as it looks way too similar to Smash Bros. Brawl but I guess I'll wait to try it out before judging.

Nintendo Advanced Video System or AVS
Sure you know about the NES, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, etc. But did you know there was also a Nintendo AVS? What was it and when was it shown? According to the Nintendo Wiki:
"The Advanced Video System or AVS, was the prototype of the popular Nintendo Entertainment System. The AVS was shown publicly only once, in 1985 at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The AVS was revolutionary for its day. The system included a keyboard, handheld joystick, light wand/gun, music keyboard, and a data storage unit, that were all infrared wireless. The revolutionary controllers were also wireless, and could be stored in the front of the main unit, or control deck when not in use. The AVS combined many features found in computers of the day and included innovative functions such as game editing and storage, music composition, light wand-TV game interaction (you could shoot at the TV), and never before seen 8-bit video game graphics."
